Motor Factors Group Announce “Price Watch”

 

A message to the independent aftermarket.

 

We are constantly aware of the need to remain competitive and so even with our ever changing worldwide economy we will strive to bring you the best deals possible.

 

During July this year we set the prices of hundreds of our fastest moving products so that they would not be effected by the constant manufacturer price reviews. We are confident that each of these products are sold at the best price possible given their quality position in products of a like nature that you would purchase from the vehicle assembler.

 

We are also increasingly aware of the vehicle assemblers desire to get back some of its aftermarket share from both us the motor factors and you the independent repairer. Clever pricing books are all too common in the market now and change more rapidly than we or our suppliers can confidently monitor.

 

With this in mind we would ask you to let us know of any product that is not competitive and where possible we will change immediately and in other circumstances we will pass the data back to our suppliers to seek improvement. It should be said at this point we often quote on brand new product from our stocks where a agent for the vehicle assembler will quote on an exchange product or indeed will quote a camshaft belt kit with less metal work within the kit, so beware.

 

Be careful in supporting the vehicle assembler after all they want to regain the workshop business too!
